Research Shows That Dee Dee Ramone is Picturesque

Deeback Photographer Theresa Kereakes conducted some market research for a coffee table book that she is publishing.  She learned that the public wants to see photos of Dee Dee Ramone and Stiv Bators.  But her burning question is, do you want to see backstage photos or performance shots?  My answer: both. Go to her site, Punk Turns 30, to vote!

    I am not certain how it is that a blog re The Chelsea does not include mention somewhere of Chelsea Guitars, one of its longest tenants. That store is legendary throughout the world of guitarists and musicians. Its owner (Dan Courtenay)is one of most knowledgeable vintage guitar authorities in the U.S. Hundreds of musicians, from the most famous to the starting-out, have filed through that store, as have, by the way, most of the living artists mentioned on the Chelsea site. I actually met Arthur Miller in Chelsea Guitars. I’ve also run into Richard Gere several times as he tried out Les Pauls. Anyone who have ever played guitar for a living in NYC has passed through that place.
