We thought we were rid of Ethan Hawke when he moved out a few months ago. But the creative spirit 
of the Chelsea has apparently sucked him back into our vortex of insanity. He was in the hotel earlier this week, filming the movie version of his brilliant debut novel, The Hottest State. We were on the elevator, packed full with a group of his minions last night. A female member of his production crew was screaming into her cell phone: “I’m almost there! I’m two seconds away!” To our horror, the elevator slowed to a crawl, then stopped entirely, between floors. Luckily, we were able to pry the elevator doors open and step off on the first floor, or we would have been in for a rough night indeed.
Here’s wishing Ethan luck in his filmic endeavors; we’re praying he doesn’t turn out another Chelsea Walls.
