Some of the most engaging photos I have seen from the demonstrations in Paris are being posted by
former Chelsea Hotel resident Sparkle Hayter. Photo shown is by by a talented 20-year old named Charlotte Gonzale.

Paris is Burning!
This is undoubtedly good news, when Paris rebels the civilised world follows.
I’m deeply ashamed of my countrymen [Aus] who have just given away our entire industrial relations system, once widely acknowledged as the best in the world, without much more than a whimper. Maybe 1000 protestors at best. There is no longer any such thing as industrial protection in Australia. You can be fired purely to entertain the boss now. Mexican workers have more security than an Australian worker.
During the same week, Parisians are rioting over a substantially less dramatic change. Never, ever believe the self-propogated myth that Australians are anti-authotitarian.
Vive le revolution!LikeLike

Note, these are not my photos, but blogged off my photo group, Flickr.com, almost all by amateur photographers — so good I haven;t even bothered to take my own photos for over a week.
I’m with you Carrie, vive la france. CPE, the employment law demosntratorsoppose, isjust a trojan horse for further policies to move France to an American-style capitalism.LikeLike

It’s not a co-incidence that we just signed a ‘free trade agreement’ with the US or that legislation to allow the exploitation of ‘guest workers’ at 3rd world rates has recently brrn passed. Perhaps I could borrow ten Parisians to join me in a good ol’ game of hurl the molotov at the neo-Fascist.
