Ed’s article about the annual Valentine’s Day party hosted by Tony Notarberardino to honor Vali Myers is online at Chelsea Now.  It was a great party and if you missed it this year, there’s always next year. For those of you who couldn’t attend here are a few pics.

One response to “V is for Vali Myers”

  1. Flame Schon Avatar

You may be interested to know that Vali Myers appears several times in our (when I was Diane Rochlin, -my name is now Flame Schon -and Sheldon Rochlin) movie DOPE filmed in London and finished in ’68. The movie was never widely released (due to the bankruptcy of Leacock-Pennebaker who had financed the editing and contracted to distribute it) although it has become an underground indie classic. It is ostensibly a documentary on the London drug scene. Vali (accompanied by her husband Rudi Rappold) went to London at that time to dance onstage at a Donovan concert at Royal Albert Hall.
I’ve now got a website for it, http://www.dopethemovie.net on which you can see it as streaming video and also purchase DVDs. Sheldon Rochlin and I also made the movie Vali (the Witch of Positano), 1966.
There are also 2 trailers for DOPE on YouTube under Flame Schon Dope. and my own website is http://www.reconfiguration.net on which I have short excerpts of my more recent work.
    regards, Flame Schon
