Here’s a rumor that we’ve heard:
"Today apparently employees of the hotel came in to get their checks and they weren’t signed so no one got paid.  Management didn’t call to tell people, so people came from the bronx, queens, and brooklyn to find that their checks weren’t ready.  Major foul on the part of BD.  Apparently it’s a new thing that Bernstein himself is supposed to sign the checks, but he’s out of town until Monday."

Surely someone else can sign the checks.  That’s just wrong to not pay people on time!

Oh no! How will Glennon be able to afford his Friday night fifth of Captain Morgan’s?

Just like its wrong for tenants not to pay rent on time. Oh right, no mention of that on this blog.

Two different things anonymnous. Creative people get paid differently and Stanley’s Chelsea Hotel recognized and accomodated that, thereby nurturing generations of artists. Stanley wasn’t going to starve if Painter A or Actor B made him wait a while for rent. However, we wage slaves depend on our money in an immediate way. I nexpect these welthy people just don’t understand what it’s like. Marlene Krauss lives in a 7.5 million dollar house! How can she relate to the rest of us?

Maybe Ms. Krauss could pay what they’re owed from her petty cash fund.
