We have it on good authority that BD is refusing to put through the calls of a resident it claims owes back rent, and what’s more, even telling people who call that the resident doesn’t live here!
Longtime phone operator Amy Miller has only been gone for a couple weeks and already we’ve fallen toa new low in customer service. I’m afraid the famous Chelsea nuttiness is finally rubbing off on the management as well — to think they can get away with this nonsense.

Not only has BD been denying calls to ‘select’ residents targeted for harassment, but word is from the staff that Glennon actually has a written LIST of residents whose calls are to be denied. Moreover, he thinks he can get away with it. There’s no way Amy would have played along with that nonsense. And why is Glennon answering the phone lately anyway? Possibly because there are no ‘rules of conduct’ for Non Union employees? We all suspected that Amy would be difficult if not impossible to replace, and rather than try they are using the job vacancy to commit further childish acts against tenants. This is what BD has had to resort to — feeble attempts to control communications in and out of the Hotel. What’s next? Bugs in the phone line? Short-timer Glennon should stick to butchering the French language for tourists and not get in between Long-time residents and their livelihoods.

Now you might want to ask yourself how many copies of that no-call list got made while you’re off duty and how much you’re going to get BD sued for this time around. Not too too heavy on smarts, is ya?
First rule of harassing tenants, Glennon: DON’T CREATE EVIDENCE.
Particularly when none of the staff can stand you, and none of the residents either and can’t wait to give you up for the slightest little thing. That’s right, Glennon, you’ve snitched out enough residents thus far that no one is going to keep your confidence about anything that goes on behind the desk.
And Glennon? Next time you find yourself in the hallways whining “why doesn’t anybody like me” to tenants you naivly believe to be are ‘friendlies’, remind yourself that this is why you’re despised throughout the building.LikeLike

15 minutes – most residents DO have private lines so either youve no idea what the actual circumstances are or you dont possess a livelihood for BD to interfere with. really dumbass point youre trying to put over. wait a minute – this is probably just glennon [yet again; bloggers oughta block his ISP already]interjecting his puerile opinion that chelsea residents dont pay their bills – just a gaggle of deadbeats living off the generosity of Born and Drukier. and to a certain extent he’d be right because glennon is cited among the main reasons why more than a couple of tenants are suing the hotel for overcharges and withholding rent until a Judge dictates the law. what will marlene krauss do when all those tenants you despise now are all here permanently under rent stabilization? good luck. you brought it on yourselves

Tenant and Landlord disputes are common throughout New York City. It is not “unique” to the Chelsea Hotel or any other building. But a legal dispute doesn’t give Management of the Hotel the right to mislead, deceive or out-and-out lie to people trying to contact a tenant. Anybody defending Management’s refusal of phonecalls over a legal dispute can only be part of the Management. This behavior can’t really be defended except by its author

Glennon, You are taking assholeness to a whole new level. not to mention raising the fine art of being a lickspittle. Do you really want to be remembered by history as this sort of sycophantic, nasty, yes man footnote to the tasteless, greedy and vilainous BD hotels and the laughable minority (read: small time) heirs? (Yes, lot of adjectives there, but really, there aren’t enough adjectives for these people).
