So guess what, a real reporter — as opposed to electronic kind — has had the sense to go down to the courthouse and look at the papers.   Chris Shott of The Observer reports that Marlene has fired BD for "willful misconduct" (wich no doubt includes some of what we discussed yesterday.).  BD, in turn is suing the Hotel for $2.7 million in "incentives" it says it is owed for increasing the hotel’s profits 225%!  Wow — and they said Stanley was cooking the books!  I wonder where all that new revenue could have come from.  Certainly it couldn’t have been from renting rooms, since they slashed the rates.  Must be from that new spa in the basement and that rockin’ club on the roof — you know the one with the new express elevator jetting the hipsters skyward.  — Ed Hamilton

Where is this hearing on Monday? I’m gonna go. Even if they don’t let me in I’m gonna stand outside and yell. I think they all should be taken to jail for what they’ve done to the image of the Hotel

BD sends over nincompoops like the rookie Glennon and the ever-absent Bernstein and they have the nerve to sue? What assholes.

I read as well that Rubenstein PR no longer works for the Trifecta. Does anyone know what happened there? It can’t be that Rubenstein ran out of things to spin about this situation. Did a check bounce, did they find the work too difficult or did Marlene fire them because they were incapable of spinning this steaming pile of horseshit into gold?

The incentives that inspired the 225% profit came from tenants scrambling to pay their back rent to avoid eviction when BD took over. How could BD have made profits while warehousing at least ten rooms, removing a tenant who paid over $7,000. per month and who knows what else? I what to be there when Glennon carries his two shoe boxes out of the building.
