I went to the arbitration hearing today and it was cancelled. According to BD’s attorney, BD has withdrawn its petition which was seeking to block their termination. So BD is no longer in the house!

Hmm. Do you think maybe they didn’t want a lot of lawyers poking around in their records? Just saying.

Now let’s get rid of David Elder and Marlene Krauss. It made me sick to read about David Elder “co-curating” a show to commemorate the hotel’s 125th.
Elder has a lot of nerve “curating” a show at the Chelsea Hotel to commemorate its storied history when he’s had nothing to do with its history (except its recent bad history since the ouster of Stanley Bard). He’s a magpie. You know what a magpie does? It moves in on another bird’s nest, destroys its young, and makes the nest its own.
That goes double for Marlene Krauss.LikeLike

One monkey off our backs! We are winning comrades, the opposition crumbling before our eyes. WE WILL PRESERVE THE CHELSEA AND SAVE IT FROM YUPPIE FILTH!

The lobby was curiously silent today, I saw a few smiles around and far less “clutter” , lets hope it lasts……
I could only grin to myself,

David Bard once talked to us about the notion that the hotel might eventually go back to being a co-op… it would be wonderful in a way, but would price the remaining old school residents out i suspect. certainly we wouldn’t have been able to afford it. dream idea would perhaps be a co-op, largely artists, with the Stanley continuing to handle the management. i miss the Chelsea every day. nothing will ever hold our hearts as home in the way the hotel did, and still does.
with BD gone, it’s time for David Elder and Marlene Krauss to realize how crass and inappropriate their usurpation of management at the Chelsea has been. there is no graceful way out – they need to just hand Stanley back the keys and walk away.LikeLike

krauss and elder should be like the pilgrims — ‘early settlers’. let stanley bard get on with his life’s work. peek over his shoulder — whatever you gotta do — just get out of the way

Our dear Chelsea Hotel, our home and sanctuary deserve to be celebrating his ” 125 Anniversary” with Joy, love and peace . So do enjoy the photos exhibit in his Ballroom this week-end as an “homenage” and respect, for all those unique and amazing years.
Lets leave all anger at the side and lets show them,(won’t mentioned names, we resident know very well who they are)that the artist spirit can not be broken. Long live my Chelsea hotel.LikeLike
