Earlier today, right by the benches near the elevator, facing out so you could read it was a white board alerting people that Stanley Bard is no longer the Manager of the hotel. It was quickly taken down. But not before somebody got a picture. Surprise, surprise people want to talk to the man who has been running the hotel for 50 years. Imitations just don’t cut it. Accept no substitutes.

Looks like desperation on the part of ‘new management’. How pathetic

New management is advertising the fact that they strive to be just mediocre.

We’ve confiscated Elder’s ridiculous billboard. What, David? See one too many “Bring Back The Bards” T-shirts today? Your Sid & Nancy vacation is almost over loser

I hope people don’t start telephoning too, asking for the manager, Stanley Bard. Or emailing. :-O
Sad how badly lettered that sign was, isn’t it?LikeLike

Me, I hope that nice, positive counter-signs don’t start mysteriously appearing around the hotel. π That would really confuse the new management.

No confusion, David Elder. We know Stanley isn’t the managing agent at themoment, thanks to you and your, how did someone put it, greed and vanity. That’s why we have signs that say Bring BACK the Bards, you moronic deadweight. What’s dear Marle, your partner in crime, up to these days? Is her sinisterness just riding this out while Master Elder takes a bruisin’? Dead clever, that Marle.

A dream come true. We finally got to stay at the Chelsea last week. Stanley Bard was a gracious host. We are concerned and saddened that the true historical atmosphere will be lost under the new management.
Stanley Bard helped create a masterpiece. Do Not destroy it!LikeLike

This is so tacky and self-defeating. Stanley and David must be choking on their breakfast with laughter.

Hey, if you guys make “positive counter-signs” and place them around the hotel, take photos and add them to the Bring Back the Bards group:
