   Oh puleeeeeze is that what Tilley is blaming his failures on? Anti-Britsh bias? Talk about a hot fat load, thats really reaching.
   How about a guy who take just as fat a paycheck but has no ideas to offer, no common courtesy, files falsified building permits, testifies falsely at DHCR, sues tenants over a month’s rent, spreads pack of lies about the roof garden’s demise, and then up and quits when it all makes the newspapers.
   What did he expect? Maybe in the UK no one gets called out on their lies?
   All of Andrew Tilley’s statements — all of them — turned out to be out-and-out falsehoods. This lame excuse is just another one.
   What was said about Tilley is that Americans tend to be suckers for British accents no matter the content of whats actually being said, and that Tilley would not be able to count on that unfortunate cultural fact to keep his job here. Its a tenant-based prediction that came true.

   Blame Game

   Being British had zero to do with Mr. Tilley’s difficulties at the Chelsea; a genuine lack of stage presence and him being a plain old garden-variety asshole had a lot more to contribute to his early departure.
   Anyway its the French that get the bad rep hereabouts, not the British.
