Oh, so now according to the Chelsea Hotel official website Nadia donated the painting to the Hotel. (Does this mean the Hotel is back to being a non-profit organization?) I see! So sorry for the misunderstanding! Heads up Elder, when you try to do spin control don't link to the offending truthful story.

Mwaahhhahahahaha thats like the fifth time they’ve changed their story.
My favorite of Nadias is when she told a reporter that after the Soho show was over she “had no plans” for an unsold painting. Sure, I’ll buy that. Oh, and now she completed the paintings while she was in the Hotel? Sounds like another pretty unlikely story to me.

And sorry, but why is this canvas getting promoted like its some gravitational shift in art culture? Why the sense of entitlement? No one would even care if this painter and David Elder hadn’t gotten together to plot a bogus PR campaign.

The giving is less than the taking.
The sellout is a classic.

You mean to tell me the layabout slob who robbed Piri Thomas and Stanley Bard can’t get Nadia entered in the faux [to be read: FOE] art show @ Capitol Fishing? I hear he has pull. That and a Concierge newsletter –which assuredly changes everything! Stanley never had a Concierge newsletter! That must be where he went wrong as manager the last half century. What was he thinking???

“Non Profit” and “No Profit” may sound similar, but they are quite different. Bring Back the Bards, Marlene. Before Bernie Madoff makes your losses look like petty cash and history condemns your family name.

Where is Nadia’s output now? Well its (still) leaning in a corner of the staff room, upstaged by tenant mail and deliveries. A rather inglorious place for the Hotel’s much-touted acquisition to be displayed, in my opinion.
